Take Time for You

Sometimes life hits us with things that stay stuck in our minds — not just in the moment, but lingering in our thoughts and emotions long after we scroll past them. When that happens, it influences how we feel, how we think, and even how we show up in our own lives.

I recently realized that my subconscious was carrying more weight than I knew — much of it from constant connection to the news cycle and social media. Hearing about difficult events, frustration, and conflict was wearing on me in ways that weren’t helpful for my health, my creativity, or my purpose.

Instead of allowing that buildup to take root and become stress or anxiety, I made a simple decision: I’m taking a break.A real break from social media and the news for two full weeks.

This isn’t avoidance — it’s self-care and intentional courage.

During this time, I’m choosing to focus on:

  • My body — nourishing it with good food and movement because our physical health is connected to our mental health.

  • My mind — reading, learning, and feeding it positive and enriching ideas.

  • My creativity — dedicating space and energy to the podcast and projects that bring joy, insight, and growth.

  • My presence — being more here, now, in the world I actually live in.

When something gets stuck in your subconscious, it doesn’t just disappear by force — you have to give your mind a different focus. Stepping away from constant updates, reactions, and feeds gives you room to breathe, think, and choose what really matters.

I’ll reconnect with social media and the news after these two weeks — but with more awareness, energy, and balance than before.

If you’ve ever felt weighed down by information overload, maybe you need your own pause moment too. Trust yourself. Give the courage you teach to yourself.

Courage isn’t the absence of feeling — it’s the choice to act for your well-being anyway.

Much Love,

Kena🌻
